Cadets Residential Camp 2026
Adventure Awaits!

Our 2026 Summer Camp is designed to combine training, adventure, and fun, giving cadets the opportunity to build skills while enjoying the outdoors. Each camp can be tailored to suit the training requirements and personal interests of the attending cadet force, ensuring every activity is purposeful and engaging. Set across our 75-acre farm, the site lends itself to a perfect military training area, providing the training ground, team challenges, a 12-acre forest for adventurous  activities, and leadership development. With an onsite campsite and ample amenities, cadets can enjoy a safe, comfortable, and immersive experience in the heart of nature.

 The Barnsian Patrol 2026 

What is it?

The Barnsian Patrol is an unforgettable military-focused patrol competition designed to test cadets' military knowledge, fieldcraft skills, marksmanship, first aid knowledge, and navigation. Teams rotate through a series of scored stands, building practical skills, teamwork, and leadership. The ultimate goal? Claim the prestigious Philip Charlesworth Cup and earn bragging rights for years to come.

Activities such as: Field Craft, Patrol Skills Lane (Airsoft), Air Rifle Target Shooting, Axe Throwing, Navigation Scavenger Hunt, Archery Competition, First Aid Scenarios, Following the activities,  Cadets will extract back to the barn for a debrief, presentation & celebration meal – including an evening awards ceremony with the Philip Charlesworth Cup

What to Bring to Summer Camp

Cadets should come prepared for a variety of outdoor activities:

  • Sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing suitable for all weather

  • Sleeping bag, pillow, and personal camping kit

  • Personal hygiene items

  • Water bottle and snacks for breaks

  • Notebook and pen for training exercises

 

A full kit list will be provided ahead of the camp to ensure everyone is fully prepared.
